↠ Hello

My Name is Lindsay McClure and my wolf is Nanuk.

'If you don't get lost, there's a chance you may never be found.'

A compass has always had a very significant, well significance to me. I have this passion for travel and adventure, a wanderlust. I have to go a little backward, but stick with me!

I grew up as a very happy and loved kid in Southern California. I was a huge jock, playing every sport I could; scraped knees and band-aids were my fashion statements (this is still true). In the first grade my teacher asked me to draw what I wanted the most in life, I drew Balto. Remember that one sled dog? I was obsessed with wolves (this is still true). Although I grew up living in a beach culture, my heart has always been in love with mountains. This love moved me to Colorado where I climbed, hiked, ran and rode down mountains. And I had time to study Journalism and Environmental Studies at CU Boulder! I also picked up the other founding member of TCW, Nanuk, a rescue Siberian Husky-wolf mix; he's my best friend and loyalist companion and am so thankful to share my life with such a riduclously amazing creature.

I relocated to San Francisco, California from Boulder, Colorado in the fall of 2013. Living in the heart of the Haight is a very new experience for Nanuk and I. While we won't admit to being transient, our lives are based wherever the next adventure lies. Hence the compass. I have one tattooed on my arm as well. Just a reminder that I will find my direction, dreams and whatever else I need to aquire.

Having said that, I enjoy traveling. I find myself exploring the world and my own backyard, experiencing different cultures, lifestyles and landscapes though a lens. These experiences have crafted my passion for photography, capturing timeless moments in pursuit of understanding the world we live in.

I am thankful for my time spent in San Francisco. I was fortunately allowed the time to truly find this passion. Between the outdoors, writing and photography, my love and curiosity for this life has grown exponentially. I know what I care about, how I want to spend my days and will continue to seek knowledge through all the experiences I am lucky enough to have.

'Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.'

Photojournalism and photography bring me my most genuine form of happiness. I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged and supported me in the pursuit of this happiness.

xx TCW
